are a requirement <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> students to be <strong>the</strong> <strong>design</strong>ers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> future.<br />

As this work is directed to <strong>the</strong> UAE, consideration <strong>of</strong> socio-cultural<br />

factors was a must. The UAE is a society with conservative traditions.<br />

For any <strong>in</strong>novative approaches to be considered <strong>the</strong> socio-cultural<br />

factors should be taken <strong>in</strong>to account. The <strong>framework</strong> also utilised<br />

technology to overcome some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> restrictions implied by <strong>the</strong> society<br />

to enable <strong>the</strong> student aware <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir surround<strong>in</strong>gs with <strong>the</strong> help <strong>of</strong><br />

technology.<br />

This study resulted <strong>in</strong> recommendations that are very useful to be taken<br />

<strong>in</strong>to account when implement<strong>in</strong>g new technology <strong>in</strong> education is<br />

concerned.<br />
