project. This work suggested some tools that have proven efficiency <strong>in</strong><br />

assess<strong>in</strong>g collaborative work <strong>for</strong> educational purposes. Yet, due to <strong>the</strong><br />

nature <strong>of</strong> this work and <strong>the</strong> time constra<strong>in</strong>t factor this issue was not<br />

thoroughly <strong>in</strong>vestigated. Fur<strong>the</strong>r research <strong>in</strong> this issue will be significant<br />

as collaborative learn<strong>in</strong>g is becom<strong>in</strong>g more popular.<br />

Mobile Learn<strong>in</strong>g<br />

As this research project was reach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> f<strong>in</strong>al stages, mobile learn<strong>in</strong>g<br />

was observed to be a useful tool that could be utilised <strong>in</strong> learn<strong>in</strong>g. More<br />

<strong>in</strong>vestigation <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> mobile learn<strong>in</strong>g and <strong>implementation</strong> strategies<br />

<strong>for</strong> such technology <strong>in</strong> education <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> UAE will be an important and<br />

useful subject.<br />

Multi-discipl<strong>in</strong>e and Multi-universities VCCS<br />

This researcher aimed <strong>for</strong> a multi-discipl<strong>in</strong>e collaborative work <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

f<strong>in</strong>al stage <strong>of</strong> this research project, yet this could not be achieved<br />

because <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> culture <strong>of</strong> work adopted <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> UAE universities – more<br />

details about this could be found <strong>in</strong> chapter eight. Thus fur<strong>the</strong>r research<br />

<strong>in</strong> this subject is important. The same is applicable <strong>for</strong> multi-university<br />

projects. A VCCS that could l<strong>in</strong>k different discipl<strong>in</strong>e <strong>for</strong>m different<br />

universities could enhance collaboration and promote creativity among<br />

students.<br />

Opportunities <strong>for</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r discipl<strong>in</strong>es<br />

This work aimed <strong>for</strong>mulat<strong>in</strong>g a <strong>framework</strong> <strong>for</strong> implement<strong>in</strong>g technology<br />

<strong>in</strong> architecture education <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> UAE. This work was done target<strong>in</strong>g<br />

architecture education but it is not exclusively <strong>for</strong> architecture education.<br />

O<strong>the</strong>r discipl<strong>in</strong>es could benefit from this study <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> purpose <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>in</strong>tegrat<strong>in</strong>g technology <strong>in</strong> education. The work addressed <strong>the</strong> soci-<br />

cultural factor <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> UAE which make it beneficial <strong>for</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r discipl<strong>in</strong>es to<br />

consider and build on.<br />
