A GOOD START
Matthew and his mother wait for the Childhaven van, driven
by one of our teachers who can observe family and peer
interactions even before Matthew
enters our doors.
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS
A FULL DAY’S NUTRITION
A day in the life of a
Childhaven child
Play time helps Matthew
learn to interact in
positive ways with
other children.
Snacks and two hot meals provide
a full day’s nutritional value.
Low 1-to-5 teacher-child ratios mean Matthew can
get individual attention and therapy to heal. In the
classroom, he also participates in early learning
activities that will help prepare him for success in
kindergarten.
At nap time, a teacher
helps Matthew feel safe
and comforted.
END OF A HAPPY DAY
The Childhaven van drops off Matthew at home. That
evening, a Childhaven home visitor visits the family to assess
Matthew’s safety, help his mom improve her parenting skills and
connects the family with other needed services in the community.
