<strong>In</strong>formation: WesleyCare provides services and programmes for older <strong>Wellington</strong>ians. We<br />

have contacts with C&CDHB to address the social isolation of over 65s with complex<br />

social and medical needs and over 45s with mental health needs. As well as providing<br />

podiatry care, we have a drop-in centre on Tuesday mornings, a monthly men's group, a<br />

40/50 club for women in that age group with mental health issues, and an ESOL Group for<br />

older refugees and migrants.<br />

<strong>In</strong>formation: Our service aims to provide support for people with Alzheimers disease and<br />

related disorders and for those who care for them. Our three community workers cover the<br />

<strong>Wellington</strong>, Hutt and Kapiti Coast areas providing home visits, telephone support, and<br />

support groups for people with dementia and carers, education sessions for the public and<br />

health professionals and liaison with other service providers. We strive to raise community<br />

and government awareness of issues related to dementia.<br />
