This a touching Parisian romance with a tragic end. When Anne-Claire<br />

meets a poor, young artist, she thinks she is only interesting to him if she<br />

pretends to come from a rich home. With lies she maintains her<br />

camouflage. When the artist, however, finds out the truth, he is so angry<br />

about her lies that he strikes her and disappears in the next taxi. She tries<br />

to run after him, but runs into a car, is badly injured, and taken to<br />

hospital. There the two talk to each other. They want to marry, but when<br />

he wants to visit her again, it is already too late. Anne-Claire has not got<br />

over the after-effects of the accident.<br />

Since the race-car driver Henri Vidal is in danger of marrying the wrong<br />

girl, his guardian angel is allowed to descend on earth in the form of a<br />

stewardess in order to lead the young man on the right path. She<br />

succeeds, but not quite according to the plans, since Vidal starts to<br />

fascinate the pretty heavenly girl. She almost throws herself into his arms<br />

- but then a stern high-ranking angel turns up and admonishes her to<br />

follow the 'regulations.' The lovesick angel returns to heaven, and a true<br />

stewardess wins the heart of the disappointed Vidal, who, in the<br />

meantime, has won the grand prix of nice.<br />

Fanny, a corset maker, disguises herself and forces her way into the<br />

magnificent palace where the Viennese congress has been convened. There<br />

she hopes to arouse martin's jealousy (martin is the secretary to prince<br />

Metternich). Accidentally she makes the acquaintance of czar Nicholaus,<br />

who takes her for a charming countess. Deeper and deeper fanny entangles<br />

herself in a web of lies until the Austrian secret service thinks she is a<br />

French agent. To get herself out of this predicament, she comes up with the<br />

story that napoleon is landing in France. She is actually raised to be a<br />

countess when her information proves to be true. Enraptured, Martin<br />

marries his Fanny.<br />

The occasion is Oberholzer's fiftieth birthday. He is a highly-respected<br />

owner of a factory which produces figurines for the garden, little dwarves<br />

and such. Suddenly there is a surprise. His younger brother, who had run<br />

away some 20 years previously, arrives in his native town accompanied by<br />

his famous travelling circus ‘Obolski.' Both he and his charming, exotic<br />

wife cause confusion in the minds of all of his conventional relatives and<br />

trouble in a number of their marriages. But soon they themselves have to<br />

deal with the same type of problem, as a young niece has started showing<br />

an effusive interest in the circus and her uncle. In the end, everything<br />

returns to normal. After a magnificent final performance, the circus<br />

departs from the little town.<br />

sets out to marry her and so gain control of the hotel. Karl tries<br />

to stop him but fails, and he is reduced to toilet attendant - until a rich<br />

man and regular patron appears on the scene, buys the hotel and appoints<br />

Karl as director.<br />

In order to maker her fortune the young Stanzi moves in with her aunt in<br />

Vienna. She falls in love with Jurek, a musician in the Deutschmeister<br />

regiment, who is also a composer. In order to help him she secretly sends<br />

a sheet of music, a marching song written by him, to the emperor, and<br />

after surmounting some difficulties she obtains an audience with emperor<br />

Franz Joseph. He finally permits the Deutschmeister march to be<br />

performed at a parade and Stanzi to introduce her talented composer to<br />

the emperor, who then gives his congratulations to the two lovers.<br />

last possession, the original text of the forbidden “Robinson”, London's<br />

children verge on revolt out of worry over their beloved adventure book.<br />

Under the leadership of the girl Maud they even force their way to the<br />

king, who reconciles himself with the dying Defoe and, at the same time,<br />

more or less, authentic episodes of the young empress Elizabeth of<br />

Austria's first years. Above all, it is her conflicts with the strict court<br />

ceremonial and her intolerant imperial mother-in-law, which trouble the<br />

young woman, who is used to having her own way. The birth of a little<br />

princess and the claim to pass on her child's education into strange hands<br />

force her to overcome her first marriage crisis. It is not before both<br />

parties give way, when Sissi obeys the ceremonial and is al- lowed to keep<br />

her child, that a reconciliation and a happy ending are achieved.<br />

In the third part of the ‘Sissi' film series, the young empress once again has<br />

to resist her mother-in-law's intrigues. While emperor Franz Josef is in<br />

Vienna, Sissi travels to Hungary with a count, who is devoted to her. She<br />

wants to mollify the Hungarian noblemen who tend toward rebellion.<br />

Though she can dispel rumors originating from Vienna about a secret<br />

affair with the count, a serious lung disease, however, forces her to get<br />

treatment on the island of Corfu. Franz Josef and Sissi meet in the<br />

provinces of Italy, and due to Sissi's overwhelming charm, they manage to<br />

gain the favour of the Italian population.<br />

away heading for Paris. But fate will have it that the young man, with<br />

whom she falls in love during the journey, is none other than prince<br />

Albert of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha, one of the suitors. Without revealing<br />

her identity, the young queen rushes back to London to prepare a<br />

surprise for Albert.<br />

seamstress in order to keep the family going. This situation and a flirtation<br />

Willy has with a young woman leads to the young couple's separation.<br />

Fifteen years later Willy, now a famous singer, tries to regain his place in<br />

Therese's affections, particularly because he discovers that her fourteen<br />

year old daughter is his child and is enthusiastic about music. In the end<br />

Therese and her daughter settle on a man who has proven himself to be a<br />

good friend over the years, whereas Willy realizes how much he has<br />

come to rely on his manager, a woman.<br />
