Enthusiasm for South Africa and a love for classical music have always been the
main motivations for Gabi Zahn’s vision of Cape Classic, a festival which supports
charitable projects of the Cape region through “The Magic of Music”. In the
eighties, Gabi Zahn lived in South Africa with her husband and her four children
for four years. Subsequently, in Germany where she now lives, she worked as a
journalist specialising in cultural affairs, mainly classical music, where she wrote
reviews of concerts and interviewed famous artists. Currently, she is spending all
her time on the organisation of the annual Cape Classic.
Happiness depends upon ourselves. (Aristotle)
To celebrate the wine lands of the Western Cape,
To celebrate the classical music;
To celebrate Lust of Life;
To celebrate a Feast of all Senses;
And… to make our audience happy!
These are top priorities of Cape Classic!
It is my sincere wish that you will enjoy our concerts
of this current festival season and I hope to welcome
you back in 2013 too!
