with seems perfectly normal to me. If you could survive
the trauma you’ve endured without facing some of these
issues, then I would have found you a good mental
health specialist.”
“Does that mean you’re not going to write me a referral?”
“Only your personal physician can do that, and I’m
not your doctor, remember?” he teased.
I’d certainly like to know what you are to me, she
thought, but the answer to that question was still one
of those frightening puzzles she was afraid to dig into
too deeply.
She settled closer to him, feeling the tension seep out
