Resources 65 Setup Just as you had defined your farming operation in Farms/Fields Setup, and your field inputs in Products Setup, you also need to define the Resources - the people and equipment which do the work. Defining all options used will save a great deal of time in the field, and as you unload your PC Card. Note: The monetary values entered on these screens will populate the Field Plan (Record Keeping>Field Plan). If an item has been used in the Task Builder or the Task Wizard as part of an operation, or if it had been previously used in unloaded data, you will not be able to inactivate it. Operator Setup An operator is anyone who drives or operates the equipment in the field. By entering data in this tab you can produce reports that will show you who performed what operations in a field, how many acres were covered, and total operator cost for the total amount of acres worked. To make an operator inactive (or active) refer to page 46. Add an operator: 1. From the Setup menu, select Resources. 2. Select the Operator tab. 3. Click New. 4. In Operator name, enter a unique name. • The first 20 characters of this name will populate the Operator display name text
