Create a new legend from the Legend Info window: 1. Click Edit. 2. On the Legend Setup tab, click New. 3. In Legend name, enter a unique name. 4. Set the High, Low and Increment values. 5. Click Apply. 6. To assign a coloring scheme to your new legend, select one from the dropdown box below the legend example (refer to page 35). 7. Click OK to save your changes and close Setup. • The Legend window will close. To see the new legend, you must click Legend again. Select a different color scheme: 1. Click Layers . 2. Actual vs. Normalized Legends By default, all legends that are applied to a field map layer are based on actual data - what is recorded in the field is what is displayed in the legend. However, one day you may want to look at the bigger picture: “How is the land producing over the years?” Normalizing the legends, and then applying them to your harvest maps, can show you the story behind the data.
