Banks & Currency Exchange Koh Kong is firmly in the Thai baht zone, although
U.S. dollars will be accepted. There is an ACLEDA Bank (St. 48; & 035/936-693)
that performs Western Union transfers and currency exchange, and cashes traveler’s
checks. It also has an ATM with Visa card access only. It would be a bad
idea to rely on it.
Hospitals If you have medical problems, cross the border to Thailand where
medical care is good. If they are really minor, head to the Visal Sok Clinic (St. 3;
& 011/988-586; daily 6am–9pm).
Internet Access There are a few Internet cafes in the center of town with fairly
sluggish connections.
Tourism Information Most guesthouses double up as travel agents and they
are the places to go for tourist information.
