without History there is no future 

In the beginning there was the chalk – this could be the title of 

the EGO Dichtstoffwerke company history. In fact, the 400 year 

old chalk mountain in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is inseparably 

linked with EGO. Since its establishment in 1947 the company 

has obtained this valuable raw material from Upper Bavaria, 

and the company’s founder, Ewald Goldmann, laid the foundation 

stone for EGO’s present success by starting his putty 

production. 

During the post-war period putty is a demanded material for 

trade and handicraft. New, revolutionary application equipment 

extends the product range and makes our company more and 

more popular. In the fifties a national distribution network is 

built and EGO products are even shipped Europe-wide. After the 

early death of Ewald Goldmann in 1963 his wife Elsedore takes 

over the management of the company. Still within the sixties 

she initiates the construction of a most modern production 

plant for silicone sealants and in the seventies another one for 

the nowadays highly demanded buty tapes. The first factories 

are established abroad under licence of EGO. In the eighties 

main investments are devoted to the field of adhesives. The 

company develops a highly innovative glass-bonding technology 

that was enthusiastically accepted by the market. Since 

1983 Ewald Goldmann (jun.) and Heinz Ohm have shared the 

company management. By the way: The chalk is still used today 

as a high quality filler for the modern EGO sealants.

These products have optimized viscosity, processing and 

curing time. They are simple to apply due to the user-friendly

EPOXY rESiN adHESiVES 

The EPOXY range of adhesives was developed especially for 

use with all types of natural stones. After careful analysis 

system solutions have been developed especially for this 

sector, and their easy handling makes them ideally suited 

for the natural stone industry. 

By adding two-chamber cartridges and fitting mixing tubes 

a system has been created that is both practical and userfriendly. 

The appropriate dispensers (hand or air-pressure 

guns) make dosage easy, mixing simple and the application 

of the adhesives effortless. 

EGOPOXid 2000 rapid 

For dowelling bronze letters as well as for the rapid bonding 

of a wide variety of different materials. Ideal for interior and 

exterior horizontal and vertical bonding. 

EGOPOXid 2100 transparent liquid 

For bonding artificial stone, filling of plug holes and repair 

of natural stones.

The EGOFLEX product range provides further applications 

with natural stones. 1-component adhesives and sealants 

are available. Some of the advantages these products offer 

include fast cure and that they can be ground and painted.

• Fast cure EGOPOLYESTER Transparent Liquid is a low-viscosity, spreadable 

adhesive for filling plug holes and fine cracks, and for 

bonding natural stones, in particular fractures and cracks. 

It is ideally suited for GFR reinforcements (fixings) and standard 

applications. Also suited for outdoor applications and bonding 

of different materials. 

EGOPOLYESTER Hardener is indispensable for the

EGOFLEX 441 is a one-part, solvent-free polyurethane adhesive 

featuring excellent adhesion on many substrates. Upon 

exposure to atmospheric moisture and an additional surface

Typical Applications: 

For universal and high quality bonding of concrete, natural stone,
