This year, Br<strong>and</strong>el proudly features our smaller Cell Culture System <strong>and</strong> Plate Sealing<br />
System. The Cell Culture system is self-contained within a hood, automating plate<br />
coating, cell seeding/feeding <strong>and</strong> permeability studies. Our Sealers offer an adhesivebased<br />
solution <strong>for</strong> applying uni<strong>for</strong>m seals <strong>for</strong> most plate confi gurations, heights, <strong>and</strong><br />
compositions.<br />

The Life Sciences Group of Brooks Aut<strong>omation</strong> introduces the Parallab 350, a fully<br />
automated, integrated workstation <strong>for</strong> per<strong>for</strong>ming high throughput nanoliter volume<br />
reactions in molecular biology applications. Target applications include Cycle Sequencing,<br />
PCR, SNP’s, <strong>and</strong> Genotyping. Brooks also develops custom engineered equipment<br />
solutions <strong>for</strong> genomics, drug discovery, proteomics, <strong>and</strong> chemistry laboratories.<br />

The CBSE is a leading structural biology center with established high-throughput<br />

combinatorial chemistry, assay development <strong>and</strong> high-throughput drug screening. The<br />
CBSE also has an ISO 9001:2000 certifi ed Engineering division to support the CBSE<br />
scientists with the development of specialized research instruments <strong>for</strong> the Center’s high<br />
throughput robotic workstations <strong>and</strong> laboratories. The engineering group has grown to<br />
become a full-service organization able to provide both academic, government, NASA (12<br />
different experiment systems <strong>for</strong> 35 space missions on 54 fl ights) <strong>and</strong> industry customers<br />
with solutions ranging from technical guidance all the way to full turn-key systems <strong>and</strong><br />
