Hairdressing (Salon Support)<br />
Our professional tutors will introduce you to all features of the exciting<br />
world of hairdressing.<br />
Course Content<br />
Passionate about sharing their skills and knowledge, our tutors teach you essential hair<br />
consultation, analysis and treatments, the latest trends and styling methods, as well<br />
as the most popular products and technologies. Our facilities mirror those of a real<br />
salon and we invite clients in for you to practise your styling skills on. We also cover<br />
salon administration and communication details like managing bookings, looking after<br />
clients, plus displaying and selling products. The main areas of study you will learn are:<br />
• shampoos, treatments, colouring • introduction to cutting and chemical treatment<br />
• styling, design, blow waving and long hair styling • reception skills, customer service<br />
and service workflow.<br />

Topics include practical professional cookery and bakery, guest service taster,<br />
introduction to restaurant service, introduction to bar service and barista training.<br />

There are so many different roles throughout the hospitality and tourism industry<br />
and you can also study further for certificates in: Baking; Cookery for the Hospitality<br />
Industry; Restaurant, Wine & Bar; or for Diplomas in Professional Cookery or<br />
