931 The Beatles "Yesterday and Today" legendary "Butcher Cover"<br />

featuring the band with cut chops & decapitated dolls. Withdrawn on day<br />

of issue. Expertly peeled (no damage to cover, which is almost split in<br />

half) with original record. The immediate "Cabinent" 1965 re-issue<br />

which now is quite scarce also included. A badly minced damaged cover<br />

was sold in Adelaide for around $1000 many years ago. This is the holy<br />

leader issue comp with inner liner, hat band, "Wood-badge" beads &<br />

Lis" badge. Original & contemporary in all respects. Pre 1940 hats now<br />

(3rd); Rover Moot 7th World, Australia 1961 & Tasmania 1965 (rare -<br />

yellow badge. Excellent condition. Highest rarity believed to be one of 5<br />

200 diff inc Mt Maunganui (RR), Waitemata Nth (Cotton RR), Manukua<br />

Marsden, Awarua, Palmerston Nth (RRR), W.Otago (name tape with<br />

Gore badge -both RRR), New Plymouth (un-named RRR & named pr),<br />

943 Scouts: NSW district badges. Early 1950s display cards (6) with 6<br />

woven arm badges on each (all long "extinct"), inc Tweed, Wyoming,<br />

Bellorara, Newcastle & Hunter, Canobolas, Lachlan, Canberra, Hartley,<br />

South Western Riverina (Bird) & Billabongs. All now quite scarce with<br />

some rarities sighted. All in excellent condition. (36+)................ $220 -- $300<br />

944 Scouts: NSW District badges, all pre 1990 majority "Family Look"<br />

(now apparently discontinued) but does contain earlier pre 1970s issues<br />

very scarce), "Far North" (total enigma "RRR"?), Murrumbidgee,<br />

Macquarie, Barrier & an even more bizarre example featuring "Sturt's<br />

Desert Pea" on Khaki background & a very scarce "Cumberland" trio.<br />

Bound non "Family" types (35). A few stains, mostly VGC. Overall a<br />

black, 2 diff), Seaford (extinct 1973), City of Camberwell (ext 1965),<br />

Nunawading (black horse), Sunshine Central, Dandenong (on yellow<br />

background), Fern Tree Gully, Springvale, Latrobe & Camberwell<br />

Central. The 2nd vol with country districts inc Ballaarat (3 inc unnamed),<br />

Bunyip, Warragul, Westernport, City of Mildura (black),<br />

Wentworth, Bendigo district & Wannon County (Whale -very rare). Also<br />

selection of group badges (some identified) & a few name tapes. A few<br />

older ones ex uniform, most excellent to near new. An excellent wellbalanced<br />

group which took the vendor over 35 years to amass. Note that<br />

all badges have been EXTINCT for nearly 20 years due to re-structure &<br />

Gosnells, King's Park, Victoria Park & Lakes all UN-NAMED. Plus<br />
