Comments: We have been able to trace this line back to a Matilda Burkholder who
is said to have been born in Ontario in the 1830's. She is of German extraction but
other than that we don't have any information.
Comments: ggrandmother from Stettin,Pommerania,Prussia born mid 1800s.
Stettin lies at the intersection of the Oder River and the Baltic Sea. About a
millenium ago, it was near the homeport of the Jomsvikings. My maternal
ggrandfather served in the Prussian army. The brothers of my ggrandmother
allegedy served in the Kaiser's honor guard due to their height. The area has shifted
from time to time from Swedish, to Polish, to Prussian and now Polish control.
Comments: Violet is the mother of David Faux below. The fact that mother has the
notoriously speedy "mutator" 16519 and her son does not is interesting. Ancestors
from Stirlingshire area in Scotland.
