Ann Smith b. 6 Jul 1849 NC, d. 26 Nov 1934 NC. As far as my mutations go, I
haven't got a clue as to what they mean. If anyone does, please let me know.
Comments: My mother's grandmother was named "Gunhild Hvalen,
(Andersdatter)" as best known at this point. She was from Telemark, Norway and
emigrated to Dodge County, Minnesota in the early 1860s > Day County, South
Dakota to live with relatives in the later 1880s following her husbands death in 1887.
I had the mtDNA test done in order to preserve my mother's mtDNA as she had no
sisters nor any female children. These results appear to be in line with our family
history as known and as remembered through family lore.
