BIOGRAPHY
ADIN HEBIB
Academic painter Adin Hebib was born on 11 March 1955 in Mostar Bosnia
and Herzegovina, same birth town of the famous Hajrudin, main
creator/constructor of the Mostar’s “Old Bridge”.
As all other children he started painting as a young lad but the only
difference is that today he is still working being true to his
profession.
It is his world and life path for the last 25 years. He is working as
freelance painter/artist.
His professional education started in Mostar, then Sarajevo, and in
Belgrade where he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1978 and
gained his diploma studying with professor P. Milosavljevic. Only
couple of years later from 1983-1985 he specialised expressionism in
Paris studying with professor Boris Cikalovski. His rich portfolio
comprises mainly paintings but also, stage theatre sets, posterspanels,
various books illustrations, and monographs.
For his work Hebib was awarded 11 times with first prize for graphic
design (IG Metall Karlsruhe, Klaus Becker, ˝Streljino Pozorje˝, Golden
in forte, etc.).
Twenty eight of his capital paintings are exhibited all around the
world in Europe, America, Asia and Africa. He is the citizen of the
whole world but self willingly “trapped” in Sarajevo where he is
working and living today.

Many of the local and international magazines and publications
published articles, photographs and critics about the last 25 years of
Hebib’s professional career. Amongst them are celebrated art critics
and theoretical critic Huper, Campitelli, David Rove, Lucesto, Gabriel
Schwarz, Dizdar, Vujanovic, Gabovic Koan-Jeff Bays.
His work was evaluated by renowned magazines (Flockhart, Art, Modern
art). As a guest artist he was featured in many television shows in
Europe and Africa. National Bosnian TV and other TV stations in
Germany, Holland, Croatia, USA, Sweden, Italy, presented his life and
work to a wider audience.

1987. First award for the design of poster/panel and set design for
Theatre Festival “Streljino Pozorje”, “Our little city”, organised by

OWNERS OF A. HEBIB PAINTINGS
Adin Hebib paintings are “spread” all over the globe. His favourite
work is exhibited on the mural (on the wall) “Plava Prizma” placed
inside the main tower of the Avaz Business Centre, Sarajevo, Bosnia and
Herzegovina – developed in combinative technique (3,20 x 2,50 metres)
as well as “My life in 50 paintings” on the mural (on the wall), and
“The evolution of planet Earth”, (19,20 x 6,50 metres) placed in the
same space, and created in collaboration with Edin Seleskovic (New
York).
Purchased paintings are exhibited and placed in: Vatican, Bundes
Prezidium, City exhibition venues in Zagreb, Göteborg, Bad Godezbezber,
Innsbruck, Oslo, Trieste, Istanbul, Sarajevo, Martinique, Bretten.
His painting are also owned by: Suleyman Demirel (Turkey), William Bill
Clinton (USA), Jacque Chirac (France), Stjepan Mesic (Croatia), Milan
Kucan (Slovenia), Hans Dietrich Genscher (Germany), Klaus Kinkel
(Germany), brothers V. Bogner (Germany), Ambassadors in Bosnia and
Herzegovina, USA, Turkey, Austria, etc. Adin Hebib created two unique
postal stamp/marks for Bosnian Post Office and both are owned by the
author.
‘I regret the fact that I am unable to showcase many other paintings
from all over the world (Australia, America and Europe).
It would be too complicated job and would take many hours of my time to
try and collect them all for this exhibition - celebration of 25 years
