BIOGRAPHY<br />

ADIN HEBIB<br />

Academic painter <strong>Adin</strong> <strong>Hebib</strong> was born on <strong>11</strong> March 1955 in Mostar Bosnia<br />

and Herzegovina, same birth town of the famous Hajrudin, main<br />

creator/constructor of the Mostar’s “Old Bridge”.<br />

As all other children he started painting as a young lad but the only<br />

difference is that today he is still working being true to his<br />

profession.<br />

It is his world and life path for the last 25 years. He is working as<br />

freelance painter/artist.<br />

His professional education started in Mostar, then Sara<strong>je</strong>vo, and in<br />

Belgrade where he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1978 and<br />

gained his diploma studying with professor P. Milosavl<strong>je</strong>vic. Only<br />

couple of years later from 1983-1985 he specialised expressionism in<br />

Paris studying with professor Boris Cikalovski. His rich portfolio<br />

comprises mainly paintings but also, stage theatre sets, posterspanels,<br />

various books illustrations, and monographs.<br />

For his work <strong>Hebib</strong> was awarded <strong>11</strong> times with first prize for graphic<br />

design (IG Metall Karlsruhe, Klaus Becker, ˝Streljino Pozor<strong>je</strong>˝, Golden<br />

in forte, etc.).<br />

Twenty eight of his capital paintings are exhibited all around the<br />

world in Europe, America, Asia and Africa. He is the citizen of the<br />

whole world but self willingly “trapped” in Sara<strong>je</strong>vo where he is<br />

working and living today.<br />

BIBLIOGRAPHY<br />

Many of the local and international magazines and publications<br />

published articles, photographs and critics about the last 25 years of<br />

<strong>Hebib</strong>’s professional career. Amongst them are celebrated art critics<br />

and theoretical critic Huper, Campitelli, David Rove, Lucesto, Gabriel<br />

Schwarz, Dizdar, Vujanovic, Gabovic Koan-Jeff Bays.<br />

His work was evaluated by renowned magazines (Flockhart, Art, Modern<br />

art). As a guest artist he was featured in many television shows in<br />

Europe and Africa. National Bosnian TV and other TV stations in<br />

Germany, Holland, Croatia, USA, Sweden, Italy, presented his life and<br />

work to a wider audience.<br />

1987. First award for the design of poster/panel and set design for<br />

OWNERS OF A. HEBIB PAINTINGS<br />

<strong>Adin</strong> <strong>Hebib</strong> paintings are “spread” all over the globe. His favourite<br />

work is exhibited on the mural (on the wall) “Plava Prizma” placed<br />

inside the main tower of the Avaz Business Centre, Sara<strong>je</strong>vo, Bosnia and<br />

Herzegovina – developed in combinative technique (3,20 x 2,50 metres)<br />

as well as “My life in 50 paintings” on the mural (on the wall), and<br />

“The evolution of planet Earth”, (19,20 x 6,50 metres) placed in the<br />

same space, and created in collaboration with Edin Seleskovic (New<br />

York).<br />

Purchased paintings are exhibited and placed in: Vatican, Bundes<br />

Prezidium, City exhibition venues in Zagreb, Göteborg, Bad Godezbezber,<br />

Innsbruck, Oslo, Trieste, Istanbul, Sara<strong>je</strong>vo, Martinique, Bretten.<br />

His painting are also owned by: Suleyman Demirel (Turkey), William Bill<br />

Clinton (USA), Jacque Chirac (France), St<strong>je</strong>pan Mesic (Croatia), Milan<br />

Kucan (Slovenia), Hans Dietrich Genscher (Germany), Klaus Kinkel<br />

(Germany), brothers V. Bogner (Germany), Ambassadors in Bosnia and<br />

Herzegovina, USA, Turkey, Austria, etc. <strong>Adin</strong> <strong>Hebib</strong> created two unique<br />

postal stamp/marks for Bosnian Post Office and both are owned by the<br />

author.<br />

‘I regret the fact that I am unable to showcase many other paintings<br />

from all over the world (Australia, America and Europe).<br />

It would be too complicated job and would take many hours of my time to<br />

try and collect them all for this exhibition - celebration of 25 years<br />
