What Now?
Tutor: RHS Experts
Are you new to gardening and unsure what exactly you should
be doing when, or are you a keen gardener wanting tips on your
timings? Let the RHS experts help you through the gardening year
providing a whistle-stop tour of techniques, tips, tricks and advice
on seasonal tasks so that you know what you could be doing when.
Sessions will vary in format including talks, practical demonstrations
and walks around the garden at Wisley.
March and April
Thursday 1 March 10.30am to 12.30pm
Includes: Sowing seed and taking cuttings, staking, planting and
lifting and dividing.

Tuesday 1 May 10.30am to 12.30pm
Includes: Coping with weeds, lawn care, bedding, pests and diseases
and feeding.

Monday 2 July 10.30am to 12.30pm
Includes: Watering, dead-heading, propagating tender perennials
and summer pruning.

September and October
Monday 3 September 10.30am to 12.30pm
Includes: Dividing herbaceous perennials, planting perennials and
bulbs, protecting tender plants and cutting back.

Includes: Rose pruning, winter propagation, mulching and digging.

Includes: Spring and renovation pruning, cutting back grasses,
preparing for the year ahead.
