Budding and Grafting<br />

For <strong>the</strong> more experienced gardener this is an opportunity to learn<br />

<strong>the</strong> technical skills of grafting to propagate and manipulate your<br />

plants with increased precision. Fruit trees and ornamental trees will<br />

be covered, including <strong>the</strong> techniques and aftercare of chip budding<br />

and side-veneer grafting. Selection of scion wood, rootstocks<br />

and <strong>the</strong> compatibility of <strong>the</strong> two will be covered, as well as <strong>the</strong><br />

techniques used to achieve a successful graft.<br />
