Perusi, General Raffaele Giudice, director <strong>of</strong> the Finance Police. Anti-<br />

terrorist experts resigned in protest against the incompetence and<br />

sloppiness. <strong>The</strong>y claimed it was all a play to the gallery.<br />

Corrado Guerzoni, who was a close associate <strong>of</strong> Moro, testified in<br />

Rome on 10 November 1982 at the trial <strong>of</strong> the alleged killer that<br />

Moro was under great threat. During an <strong>of</strong>ficial visit to the United<br />

States, Henry Kissinger showed up at Moro's hotel room and<br />

threatened him: "Either you change your policies or you will pay for<br />

your opposition with your life."<br />

Aldo Moro was upset and immediately went home to Italy. His wife<br />

Eleonora confirmed this in her testimony. Moro stuck to his policy.<br />

<strong>The</strong> American press did not report this, but in Italy it was widely<br />

published.<br />

<strong>The</strong> plan to kill Moro was co-ordinated at the highest level. This is<br />

shown by the fact that his police protection was withdrawn,<br />

although it was known that many infamous red terrorists were<br />

gathered in Rome at the time. <strong>The</strong> abduction and murder was a co-<br />
