Four-Day Tour Experience Europe’s Youngest Country Highlights • Comprehensive tour of Kosovo – Europe’s youngest country • Overnight trip to the Ottoman town of Prizren and Sharri Mountains • Guided day tour of Pristina • Guided day tour of the ski center of Brezovica and Gadime Cave • Guided day tour of Peja and visit Boge in the Rugova Valley Day One – Prizren and Sharri Mountains Depart Pristina in the morning for a lovely drive through verdant valleys and the stunning Caraleva Gorge to the Ottoman city of Prizren, considered by some to be the cultural capital of Kosovo. Visit the Prizren Castle and stop by Prizren’s 200-year-old tree. Explore the Sinan Pasha Mosque, built in 1561, and the Hamam, an old-style Turkish bath. Tour the Ethnographic Museum, located in an 18th century home, and then visit the Prizreni League Monument of 1878 and the 15th century Catholic cathedral. Enjoy lunch at the Sharri resort in the spectacular Sharri Mountains. Spend a comfortable night in Prizren before departing the next morning for Brezovica. Day Two – Brezovica Ski Center and Gadime Cave Depart Prizren in the morning for Brezovica, Kosovo’s most popular mountain tourist resort, with peaks up to 2,500 meters. Enjoy a coffee on one of the highest peaks of the country. Descend to the valley for lunch, followed by a drive to the town of Donje Gadime, where you will visit the Gadime Cave. The stunning cave of Paleozoic marble, found only on the eastern edges of Kosovo, is considered Kosovo’s underground treasure. Return to Pristina for dinner in one of the city’s best restaurants and overnight.

Day Three – City Tour of Pristina and Horseback Riding Accompanied by an experienced English-speaking guide, your tour of Pristina begins with a leisurely coffee in an historic café near the National Museum. Learn about the history of this fascinating region as you visit the statues of prominent historical figures, including Gjergj Kastrioti (Skenderbeg) and Mother Teresa. Visit also the National Museum, National Theater and Public Library. Stroll through the government building gardens and University of Pristina, and then browse the shops for traditional handicrafts, followed by an enjoyable lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive out of the city to the nearby “Ranch” and visit the Kosovo battlefield of 1389 on horseback. Return to Pristina in the late afternoon. Day Four – Peja Region and Rugova Valley Depart Pristina mid-morning for the two-hour drive to Peja, where a knowledgeable guide from “Rugova Experience” will meet you. Your host will guide you through the historical and cultural sites of Peja, followed by a visit to the beautiful frescos of the 14th-century Deçan Serbian Orthodox Monastery.
