The amount of €97.9 million relates to sureties and guarantees received<br />

by the Group that are not directly in respect of contracts for construction,<br />

concessions or property.<br />

The number of employees of the consolidated companies breaks down<br />

The Law of 4 May 2004 gives employees of French businesses the right<br />

to a minimum of 20 hours of training each year, which can be accumulated<br />

over a period of six years. The expenses incurred on this “individual right<br />

to training” are considered to be a charge of the period and do not give<br />

rise to the recognition of a provision, except in exceptional cases. <strong>VINCI</strong><br />

Group employees have acquired rights to 1.8 million hours of such<br />

training at 31 December <strong>2005</strong>.
