CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
YOUTH & SCHOOL GROUPS
All cancellations or night transfers for youth/school groups
must be received in writing. Cancellations received at least
two weeks prior to the camp date will be issued a refund of
50% of the total $200 deposit. Cancellations within two
weeks of the camp date will be issued no refund on the total
$200 deposit.
Requests to transfer program date are subject to availability.

FAMILY NIGHTS
All cancellations or transfers for family nights must be
received in writing. Cancellations received at least 2 weeks
prior to the camp date are eligible for a refund minus a $25
processing fee. Cancellations received within 2 weeks prior
to the camp date are eligible for a refund minus a $40
processing fee. In addition to the processing fee, cancellations
received within 2 days of the camp date will be
assessed a fee of $24 per person to cover committed
program costs. Requests to transfer program date are subject
to availability. Cancel or transfer via fax 416-392-5948 or
email bushcamp@torontozoo.ca.
The Toronto Zoo reserves the right to cancel any night due
to insufficient enrolment. Should this occur, a full refund
will be issued.
ARRIVE 4:45 pm
(Note: late arrivals/early departures cannot be accommodated)
Park in the Toronto Zoo's Administrative-Support Centre
parking lot which is located at 361A Old Finch Ave.
A map will be included in your confirmation package.
Bush Camp staff will meet and escort you to a Zoomobile
that will transport you and your gear to Bush Camp. Then
get ready to have a roaring good time!
5:45 pm Tour of Savanna
7:30 pm Dine at Simba Safari Lodge overlooking the
Rhino habitat
9:00 pm (dusk) Evening program including
games and activities
10:00 pm Campfire program
11:00 pm Lights out
Following day:
Your Camp Program
6:30 am Early morning wake up call rise and shine
7:00 am Breakfast at the Lodge
8:30 am Tour of African Rainforest Pavilion
9:30 am Board Zoomobile and return to parking lot by
approximately 10:00 am

Bush Camp takes place rain
or shine. Program content and
times, however, may change
due to altering day lengths,
unforeseen animal situations and
weather conditions. In the event of
program changes, we will always
do our best to maintain the
integrity of the experience.

Bush Camp

How will your adventure unfold?
The sun sets over the African Savanna. The buzz of
crickets is briefly dulled by the roar of distant lions.
We stroll along the trails, ever watching for a glimpse
of the diverse wildlife. The stars appear and light our
way as we brave the Serengeti night and return to
camp. The flames of the campfire dance as stories of
the day’s adventure are told.
Come to the Toronto Zoo’s Serengeti Bush Camp to
experience the wildlife of our African Savanna and
Rainforest Pavilion, enjoy evening activities, campfire
tales and the chance to sleep under the stars in our
authentic African tents.
Dates
Bush Camp takes place from Victoria Day weekend
to Labour Day Weekend. To check the availability of
your preferred date, visit torontozoo.com or call us
at 416-392-5947. Bush Camp does not take place on
Wednesday nights during July, August, & September.
Reservations and Confirmation
Reservations are accepted on a first come, first
served basis online at torontozoo.com. Expect a
confirmation email within 2-3 weeks of submitting
your registration.
serengeti Bush Camp
What’s included?
Zoo admission while attending the program, tent accomodation
with cots, buffet style dinner & breakfast, snacks,
fun-filled interactive program, and an opportunity to see the
rest of the Zoo on another day before the end of the year.
*Please note: showers, sleeping bags and pillows are not provided.
Meals
Dinner and breakfast menus are posted at
torontozoo.com. Most allergy-related meal requests can
be accommodated (with at least 3 weeks notice).
Age Limit
The Bush Camp Program is not suitable for ages 5 and
under. Only participants born in 2005 or earlier will be
permitted to attend.
Tent Accommodation
Thirteen safari-style canvas tents on wooden platforms can
accommodate a total of 60 people. Tent layouts will be
provided upon request.
Groups (20 people or more) who wish to book the entire site
may book any night except Wednesday, Friday or Saturday
in the months of July, August or September. To increase the
chance of obtaining a date, groups are encouraged to
register as early as possible. Please see torontozoo.com for

How much does it cost?
Youth & School Groups
(Leaders/Teachers/Supervisors must accompany group)
$76 per person including leaders/teachers/supervisors.
A deposit of $200 and a valid credit card number are
required to confirm your registration and cover any
additional fees that may be incurred. The balance of
your fees are due upon arrival on the night of your stay,
(by cheque, VISA, Mastercard or American Express).
Prices are subject to change.
*Note: You must have a minimum of 20 people to make a
booking. For groups that arrive with less than 20 the
minimum payment required is $1520.
All participants are required to sign a waiver prior to
participation in the program. Parent/legal guardian must sign
a waiver on behalf of children. Teachers/leaders are responsible
to ensure these are complete or participants will not be
permitted to attend. Details and waiver are included in
confirmation package.
