The nonprofit corporation provides cultural enrichment to the residents, youth and visitors of the San Bernardino Mountains. AAA sponsors musical performances throughout the year and gifts music education and scholarships to local youth, kindergarten through college. MOUNTAIN HISTORY MUSEUM After years of planning, the Mountain History Museum, a project of the Rim of the World Historical Society, officially opened its doors in 2009. Filled with artifacts and historical photographs, the museum is anchored by two exhibits: the Cozad Theater, a tribute to the many movies filmed in the mountain communities, and a Santa’s Village display, featuring many original items from the amusement park. The museum, located at 27176 Peninsula Drive in Lake Arrowhead, is open from June through October on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visitwww.rimoftheworldhistory.com. Lake Arrowhead Municipal Advisor y Council P.O. Box 547 Lake Arrowhead, CA 92352 The Lake Arrowhead Municipal Advisory Council (LA MAC) is made up of five residents who are appointed by the San Bernardino County board of supervisors at the recommendation of the 2nd District supervisor. The commissioners meet on an as-needed basis to discuss issues of importance to the mountain communities. Their purpose is to act as an informational hub, hearing from local citizens and passing their opinions and questions on to the supervisor through her representative. Information flows in both directions as the supervisor will also recommend issues she would like the LA MAC to consider. At press time there was one vacancy on the Lake Arrowhead MAC.
