THE ARROWHEAD QUEEN<br />

book passage on the <strong>Arrowhead</strong> Queen.<br />
This comfortable 60-seat paddlewheel boat circles<br />
the lake several times a day as its veteran skipper regales<br />
guests with anecdotes about the rich and famous who have<br />
connections with <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Arrowhead</strong>.<br />
Tickets are available at Leroy’s Board Shop along the waterfront.<br />

ICE CASTLE INTERNATIONAL TRAINING CENTER<br />
Located at 401 Burnt Mill Road in <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Arrowhead</strong>, the<br />
Ice Castle features an ice surface 85 by 185 feet with<br />
views into the surrounding woods. Ballet-style mirrors<br />
give skaters the chance to evaluate their technique and choreography.<br />
Freestyle sessions, graded by ability levels and discipline,<br />
dominate the facility’s schedule. The Ice Castle’s skating school<br />
teaches beginners and groups, and builds a solid foundation<br />
on which to develop advanced skating skills. Instruction starts<br />

THE ARROWHEAD RANCH<br />
OUTDOOR SCIENCE SCHOOL<br />
In operation since 1991, this family-owned business<br />
teaches a state-approved science curriculum to students<br />
in elementary and middle schools.<br />
Courses include the study of plants, animals and ecology<br />
as life sciences, and astronomy, geology and meteorology as<br />
earth sciences. The faculty also teaches conservation and<br />
wise use of natural resources; recreation, arts, crafts and music;<br />
health education and cooperative living.<br />

LAKE ARROWHEAD COUNTRY CLUB<br />
Located among a forest of pines and cedars, the <strong>Lake</strong><br />
<strong>Arrowhead</strong> Country Club offers its members a chance<br />
to observe the beauties of nature in a sylvan environment.<br />
Golfers have enjoyed its outstanding course for more than<br />
40 years, but also can take advantage of an exceptional tennis<br />
venue and a beautiful swimming pool, complete with its<br />
aquatic deck.<br />
<strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Arrowhead</strong> Country Club is a private, members-only<br />
facility. Guests accompanied by members are always welcome<br />
but the club is not open to the public.<br />
