The Lake Arrowhead Community Services District
(LACSD) provides water and wastewater services to
approximately 8,000 water customers and 11,000
wastewater customers in the Lake Arrowhead community. Initially,
in the 1920s and 1930s, the area was mainly a resort
with summer cottages. However, over the years, Lake Arrowhead
has become an area of permanent, semi-permanent
and seasonal homes.
LACSD is a self-governed special district responsible for
water supply to Lake Arrowhead, and wastewater services to
Lake Arrowhead, Arrowhead Villas, Cedar Glen, Blue Jay,
Twin Peaks, Deer Lodge Park, Rimforest and Skyforest. Most
of these areas lie within the Arrowhead Lake and Grass Valley
watersheds.
The district operates two water treatment plants, 19 water
pumping stations, two wastewater treatment plants, 21
wastewater pumping stations, 18 reservoir tanks and several
hundred miles of pipelines.

The community ranges in elevation from 4,500 feet to
more than 6,000 feet and encompasses approximately 15
square miles. There are numerous streams within the district’s
service area; most of these streams flow northerly and are
part of the Mojave River drainage basin. Lake Arrowhead,
which is owned and operated by the Arrowhead Lake Association
(ALA), serves the area as both a source of recreation
and as the main drinking water supply.
As of 2008, LACSD is allowed only 1,566 acre feet of
lake water per calendar year, about half of the traditional demand
in our community. The district has implemented strict
water use efficiency policies, which are available for review
on the website or at the district office.
HOW TO PAY YOUR LACSD BILL
Payments can be mailed to LACSD in the envelope provided
with the bill or customers call the district office
and pay by Visa or Mastercard over the telephone.
Customers can also pay their bills online through the official
online payment website at www.lakearrowheadcsd.com
or apply for an automatic deduction from their bank account
or credit card.
In-person payments may be made at the district office during
regular business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
