<strong>Business</strong> <strong>Administration</strong><br />
The <strong>Business</strong> <strong>Administration</strong> program provides an in-depth look<br />
at the diverse economic and technical challenges that exist in<br />
today’s business climate as well as a foundation in basic business<br />
management practices and core skill development. It fosters<br />
critical thinking processes that examine business operations within<br />
the greater social, cultural, economic, technological and<br />
political-regulatory environment. The program challenges students<br />
to pursue their educational goals in professionally rewarding and<br />
personally meaningful ways, and to utilize their education in<br />
making directed career and life transitions.<br />
BS in <strong>Business</strong> administration<br />
The undergraduate business administration program is intended<br />
for students who are interested in completing their undergraduate<br />
business degree. The program is designed for students interested<br />
in transitioning careers in business, government, and nonprofit<br />
organizations. Graduates possess the basic management skills<br />
needed to succeed in all environments.<br />
Students have a choice to join the linked BSBA/MBA program or,<br />
if they choose, can pursue the completion of their undergraduate<br />
degree. In addition, the School of Management provides students<br />
with the opportunity to earn up to 30- units through prior learning<br />
experiences and portfolio development.<br />

Applicants must submit a JFK <strong>University</strong> application and forward<br />
official transcripts from all universities they attended. The<br />
potential student will meet with the Program Chair who makes the<br />
final decision on acceptance into the program.<br />
BSBa Program learning outcomes<br />
• General <strong>Business</strong> Knowledge and Management Application:<br />
Students will demonstrate knowledge in the following<br />
College of Undergraduate Studies<br />
management areas including computer information systems,<br />
accounting, marketing, economics, human resources, finance,<br />
and basic management principles.<br />
• Ethics and Social Responsibility: Students will identify and<br />
evaluate ethical issues and understand the business enterprise<br />
and its work force, from a corporate citizenship perspective, and<br />
explain the business related legal and ethical issues and the<br />
interdependence between the enterprise operation and the civic<br />
community in which it functions.<br />
• Communication and Collaboration Effectiveness: Students<br />
will be able to communicate in a variety of modalities, including<br />
written and oral communication, electronic information, and<br />
communication systems, while developing communication in a<br />
variety of work networks and in a diverse workforce.<br />
• International and Global Perspective: Students will<br />
demonstrate an understanding of business operations and<br />
markets and recognize the opportunities and risks associated<br />
with a borderless society, while developing skills to interact with<br />
diverse, multi-cultural leadership, team members, and<br />
customers.<br />
• Information Utilization and Problem Solving: Students will<br />
learn how to use business tools to gather information, access<br />
facts and draw upon resources to make effective business<br />
decisions. They will be able to identify, understand, analyze, and<br />
make recommendations for business issues.<br />

All letter-graded courses in the major must be completed with a<br />
grade of C or higher. Students may not request Credit/No Credit<br />
grading for letter-graded courses in the major. All course numbers<br />
of 3000 or higher comprise the major.<br />
