Weber Sidedraft Carburetor
Conversion

choice to extract maximum power from an engine. The kit includes

Hayden Electric Fans
These fans may be set up to run in either “pusher” (in front
of the radiator) or “puller” (behind the radiator) configuration.
The 10" fan requires a clear mounting area of at least
10-5/8" x 11 1/8", while the 12" requires at least 11-1/2" x
12-1/2", 14" fans are also available. We suggest the 12" fan
for Triumph TR2 thru TR6, TR250/6 for the 14" fan and the
10" fan for all other British sports cars we sell parts for.
Both fans come complete with hardware and instructions.
The preset temperature control will turn the fan on at 185°F
and off at 170°F.

Cross-Flow Cylinder Heads
American made MSX cross-flow cylinder head from Moss
Motors. Computer controlled design and production for
enhanced gas flow and heat dissipation characteristics
essential to high performance engines. Heads are supplied
fully machined, with valve guides installed. Stock MGB valves,
valve springs and retainers are included and installed. Heads
may be used with stock exhaust systems, but for maximum
performance, we suggest any of our free-flow exhaust systems
(see table of contents).
Several SU and Weber carburetor options are available, and
are sold separately. We recommend 1-3/4" SUs for street use,
although stock 1-1/2" SUs may be used for a slightly lesser
increase in power. Dual twin throat DCOE Webers will provide
maximum power and response, but may not be suitable for
street use, especially in conjunction with other performance
modifications. With a full array of engine modifications, these
heads are an important part of building an MGB engine capable
of producing over 150 horsepower!

Stellite Exhaust Valves
Steel faced with Stellite (a strong, hard-wearing, highly burnresistant
alloy). Valves are a main component of a “lead-free”
head. Exhaust valve seats should be induction hardened, or
replaced with nickel-chrome inserts by an experienced mechanic.Valves

Alloy Cylinder Head
Light-weight (9 lbs.) high strength aluminum alloy cylinder heads run cooler,
allows higher compression ratios, and have a greater than 35% increase in
flow rate. Includes silicon-bronze valve guides and hardened valve seats.
Requires 1275 valves, springs, retainers, and 12mm spark plugs (use NGK
#NCPR7E or Champion #RA8HC) not included. Quantities required are in
parenthesis. These heads do not have air injection ports, and therefore may
not be used for street use on cars originally fitted with air pumps.

Aluminum Cylinder Heads
Reduce the weight of your engine while increasing its efficiency
and performance with one of these aluminum alloy
cylinder heads. Ports and combustion chambers are polished
and balanced, and special “figure eight” stainless steel valve
seat inserts are used to give these heads advantages over
the stock cast iron heads. Valve guides are installed, and

Prothane carefully selects the appropriate density material for each particular
use. Consistency of material and stringent quality control provide effectiveness
and durability. Special design features such as grooved bores in some bushings
to hold a special Teflon grease make these bushing sets long-lasting and quiet.

unwanted suspension deflection, yet remain flexible enough
