ASSISTANT COACH AMY ZELINGER<br />
Zelinger came to <strong>UW</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong> in the 2003-2004 season and currently serves as<br />
the assistant coach. Amy moved up from graduate assistant coach to an on-staff<br />
position for the 2005-2006 season. She served as a graduate assistant during the<br />
2004-05 season, when the Warhawks posted a 14-12 record.<br />
Zelinger, a 2003 <strong>UW</strong>-Stout graduate, served as a student assistant coach for the<br />
Blue Devils during the 2003-2004 season. She played four years for <strong>UW</strong>-S, even<br />
earning a starting berth in several games as a first year player. Zelinger helped<br />
Stout to winning records all four years, including the WIAC title and a NCAA III tournament berth<br />
in 2002. She was as First Team All-WIAC guard in both 2001 and 2002. Zelinger is <strong>UW</strong>-Stout's<br />
all-time leader in steals.<br />
Zelinger and <strong>UW</strong>-W head coach Keri Carollo have worked together several years, back to when<br />
Carollo was an assistant at Stout while Zelinger played for the Blue Devils.<br />
Zelinger is also the assistant sports information director at <strong>UW</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong>.<br />
ASSISTANT COACH PETE VON ALLMEN<br />
Von Allmen came to <strong>UW</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong> in the 2003-2004 sesaon. Von Allmen, a<br />
long time high school coach, spent 17 years as the head coach at Arrowhead<br />
High School. While at Arrowhead Von Allmen captured two state titles and<br />
accumulated an overall record of 319-72. After Arrowhead, Von Allmen moved<br />
on to Fort Atkinson high school, where he was the head girl's basketball coach<br />
for 9 years.<br />
After his near decade stint in Fort Atkinson, Von Allmen moved on to the college<br />
ranks where he was an Assistant Coach for the Beloit College Women's<br />
Basketball team for 2 years. That brings us to the present, with Von Allmen as an assistant for the<br />
Warhawks. Coach Von Allmen is in charge of forward/post development as well as playing a main<br />
roll in fine tuning the half-court offense. Von Allmen's experience and success will be a key<br />
ingredient to the Warhawks winning formula in the 2005 -2006 season.<br />
ASSISTANT COACH JOE CAROLLO<br />
Carollo became an assistant for the women’s team after four years as a men’s<br />
coach. Carollo began his association with the Warhawks prior to the 2002-2003<br />
season, but his is no stranger to the WIAC. A four time-letter winner at <strong>UW</strong>-Stout<br />
as a basketball player, Carollo has been in the league ever since as an assistant.<br />
He spent seven seasons coaching elsewhere in the league; first at <strong>UW</strong>-La<br />
Crosse (1995-1998) and then for four years (1998-2002) as the top assistant at<br />
<strong>UW</strong>-Stout.<br />
Carollo also works at <strong>UW</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong> as computer software trainer for faculty<br />
and staff, and in athletics as a special assistant to the athletic director. Carollo<br />
received his masters degree from <strong>UW</strong>-La Crosse in 1997. His wife Keri is the head women’s<br />
basketball coach at <strong>UW</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong>.<br />
GRADUATE ASSISTANT NYA GESCHKE<br />
Geschke is in her second year as a graduate assistant after competing as a<br />
Warhawk from 2001-2005. Geschke led the Warhawks in scoring as a junior and<br />
senior. In 2004-05 she earned WIAC honorable mention honors. She is currently<br />
the third all-time leading scorer in <strong>UW</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong> history and her name appears<br />
in the school record books thirty-two times.<br />
Geschke is seeking her masters degree in education.<br />
