ASSISTANT COACH AMY ZELINGER Zelinger came to UW-Whitewater in the 2003-2004 season and currently serves as the assistant coach. Amy moved up from graduate assistant coach to an on-staff position for the 2005-2006 season. She served as a graduate assistant during the 2004-05 season, when the Warhawks posted a 14-12 record. Zelinger, a 2003 UW-Stout graduate, served as a student assistant coach for the Blue Devils during the 2003-2004 season. She played four years for UW-S, even earning a starting berth in several games as a first year player. Zelinger helped Stout to winning records all four years, including the WIAC title and a NCAA III tournament berth in 2002. She was as First Team All-WIAC guard in both 2001 and 2002. Zelinger is UW-Stout's all-time leader in steals. Zelinger and UW-W head coach Keri Carollo have worked together several years, back to when Carollo was an assistant at Stout while Zelinger played for the Blue Devils. Zelinger is also the assistant sports information director at UW-Whitewater. ASSISTANT COACH PETE VON ALLMEN Von Allmen came to UW-Whitewater in the 2003-2004 sesaon. Von Allmen, a long time high school coach, spent 17 years as the head coach at Arrowhead High School. While at Arrowhead Von Allmen captured two state titles and accumulated an overall record of 319-72. After Arrowhead, Von Allmen moved on to Fort Atkinson high school, where he was the head girl's basketball coach for 9 years. After his near decade stint in Fort Atkinson, Von Allmen moved on to the college ranks where he was an Assistant Coach for the Beloit College Women's Basketball team for 2 years. That brings us to the present, with Von Allmen as an assistant for the Warhawks. Coach Von Allmen is in charge of forward/post development as well as playing a main roll in fine tuning the half-court offense. Von Allmen's experience and success will be a key ingredient to the Warhawks winning formula in the 2005 -2006 season. ASSISTANT COACH JOE CAROLLO Carollo became an assistant for the women’s team after four years as a men’s coach. Carollo began his association with the Warhawks prior to the 2002-2003 season, but his is no stranger to the WIAC. A four time-letter winner at UW-Stout as a basketball player, Carollo has been in the league ever since as an assistant. He spent seven seasons coaching elsewhere in the league; first at UW-La Crosse (1995-1998) and then for four years (1998-2002) as the top assistant at UW-Stout. Carollo also works at UW-Whitewater as computer software trainer for faculty and staff, and in athletics as a special assistant to the athletic director. Carollo received his masters degree from UW-La Crosse in 1997. His wife Keri is the head women’s basketball coach at UW-Whitewater. GRADUATE ASSISTANT NYA GESCHKE Geschke is in her second year as a graduate assistant after competing as a Warhawk from 2001-2005. Geschke led the Warhawks in scoring as a junior and senior. In 2004-05 she earned WIAC honorable mention honors. She is currently the third all-time leading scorer in UW-Whitewater history and her name appears in the school record books thirty-two times. Geschke is seeking her masters degree in education. 25
