Martha Alison, the sister of the subject of this sketch. Sam-<br />

uel Morison^ was b., probably, in the parish of Aghadowey,<br />

Ireland (from which came Rev. James McGregor, and a portion<br />

of his flock, who settled in Londonderry, N. H.), in<br />

1719, and came with his father previous to 1723 (but not in<br />

1719) and settled on the farm which had been deeded to<br />

their "honored father," John Morison,i by Charter James<br />

Morisou,^ ancestor of the Morrisons of Windham, and Char-<br />

ter John Morison,^ ancestor of the Morisons of Peterborough,<br />

N. H., and of Londonderry, Nova Scotia. On this farm,<br />

Samuel Morison^ and his wife, Janet Allison, spent their<br />

lives. It is an exceedingly pleasant farm and locality, in<br />

Derry (Dock), N. H., owned by Charles Day. They lived<br />

to a rare old age, she dying Jan. 8, 1800, at 87 yrs. He d.<br />

June 21, 1802, at 92 yrs.<br />
