Ralph Allison was of Scarborough, Me., in 1673, and was<br />

a great lundholder.— Savage^ s Genealogical Dictionary .<br />

Thomas Alison, on June 14, 1679, had tickets granted to<br />

him from Barbadoes, for Jamaica, in the ship Johns Adventure,<br />

Edward Winslow, commander.<br />

Thomas Allison came from Windsor, Conn., and settled in<br />

Deerfield, Mass. ; was constable in 1692; called shoemaker<br />

that year, and trader in 1711 ; sold his home lot there in<br />

1711 to Rev. John Williams. Thomas Allison was an inhabitant<br />

of Colchester, Mass., in 1713,— perhaps the Thomas of<br />

Deerfield.<br />

Joseph Allison was a resident of Southold, Long Island,<br />

N. Y., in 1721, and was in Goshen, N. Y., in 1726.<br />

Thomas Allison, of Deerfield, Mass., lived at Wapping in<br />

1710, and in his old age was cared for by the town.<br />

John Allison, of Deerfield, Mass., 1698 ; married, Aug. 4,<br />

1698, Alice, daughter of George Jeffries, who died Dec. 31,<br />

1730, aged 61 years. No children in 1704. He was employed<br />

in 1712 to sweep the meeting-house. —Sheldon's History<br />

William Allison was of Windsor previous to 1700.<br />

Samuel Allison came from the county of Londonderry,<br />

Ireland, to America in 1718, and to Londonderry, N. H., in<br />

1719.<br />

John Alliston, of Hartford, Conn., purchased land there of<br />

Samuel Graham in 1726.—Hinman's Settlers of Connecticut,<br />

Elizabeth Allison, Comfort Allison, and Ann Allison,<br />

spinsters, of <strong>Boston</strong>, Mass., nieces of Madame Susannah<br />

Thatcher, of Milton, Mass., late deceased, received certain<br />

sums left by her will, of Rev. Peter Thatcher, May 24, 1725.<br />

— Suffolk County, 3Iass., Records, Bostoti, Mass. On the same<br />

records Andrew Allison, or Ellison (spelled each way),<br />

deeded land May 22, 1733.<br />

"Thomas Allison, of Southampton, in Great Britain, Gentleman,<br />

and Susannah, wife of the said Thomas Allison,<br />

heretofore Susannah Caswall," and other heirs of Henry Caswall,<br />

late of <strong>Boston</strong>, Mass., sold property there July 24, 1749.<br />

'From the church records of the parish of Templemore, Londonderry,<br />

Ireland, which are kept in the ancient cathedral in that city, I took this<br />

record: "William Allison had his son Thomas Allison baptized, Feb. 9,<br />
