and was a wheelwright and blacksmith, his shop standing<br />

near the First Presbyterian church and at the corner of the<br />

Garnersville and Grassy Point roads. He resided after marriage<br />

near his shop, in the old Briggs house. In 1808 or<br />

1809 he married, in Haverstraw, Catherine Allison,' a relative<br />

; daughter of James (and Mary) Allison.<br />

1763. John P. Allison,' b. April 15,' 1817; m., in Haverstraw, Oct. 3,<br />

1844, Eliza, dau. of James and Ann (Douglas) Ouderdonk.<br />

She was b. in Haverstraw, N. Y., June 1, 1822; res. East Saginaw,<br />

Mich. No children.<br />

1764. Benjamin Allison,' b. Oct. 15, 1819; d. unmarried about 1869.
