born Feb. 18, 1812 ; d. Oct. 17, 1870 ; m. Julia Ann DeKay.<br />

He was a harness-maker and a merchant, and died at Chester,<br />

N. Y. He had resided at Unionville, N. Y,, for many<br />

years.<br />

in 1870; studied law in the law school at Hamilton college, and<br />

was admitted to the bar. He was drowned in the Red river of<br />

North Minnesota; unmarried.<br />

1499. William Wallace Elmer,® b. at Unionville, N. Y., July 15, 1842;<br />

m. Carrie, dau. of John Knapp, of Sugar Loaf, Orange Co.,<br />

N. Y. He was engaged in mercantile business at that place.<br />

In 1882, on account of his ill health, they removed to Middletown,<br />

N. Y., and in 1887 to West Town, N. Y. There he died<br />

died at Middletown, N. Y., July 11, 1884. The following<br />
