1399. Micah Allison Elmer ^<br />

[1327] (Mary Allison,^ Gen.<br />

William,^ Joseph i). He was born May 13, 1781, at Goshen,<br />

N. Y., and died at Unionville, Orange connty, N. Y., Dec.<br />

31, 1849. He married his second cousin, Elizabeth, daughter<br />

of Richard Allison, Feb. 4, 1804, who died in Unionville,<br />

and both are buried in Ridgebury, N. Y. He was named<br />

for his uncle, Micah Allison, who was killed, at the age of<br />

eighteen, in battle at the capture of Fort Montgomery.<br />

They were Presbyterians. Some of this family are buried in<br />

Slate Hill cemetery, Wawayanda, Orange county, N. Y.<br />

plot in Chester, N. Y. Eev. C. E. Allison says of her,—" The<br />

memory of her unselfish life is sweet as the fragrance of flowers."<br />

She was unmarried.<br />

Gen. William,^ Joseph i). He was born in Goshen, N. Y.,<br />

Sept. 23. 1783, and died June 1, 1850, at his home in Morristown,<br />

N. J. He married, at Goshen, N. Y., Nov. 14, 1807,<br />

Susan Stewart, who was born Dec. 30, 1788, and died April<br />

6, 1842.<br />

1406d. James Floyd Elmer," b. May 11, 1812; m., March 29, 1837, Adaline<br />

Borland. She was b. in Orange Co., N. Y., Aug. 12, 1816;<br />

d. at Morristown, N. J., Sept. 10, 1878. He d. of typhoid fever<br />

March 10, 1863. He with his family were Presbyterians. He<br />

aided in church work, and was active in such matters as pertained<br />

to the general good. His children were well educated,<br />

and lovers of music and literature. Children b. in Morris Co.,<br />

N. J.:<br />

I. Frances Matilda Elmer," b. Sept., 1838; d. Morristown, N. J., Dec.<br />

29, 1865, of typhoid fever.<br />
