1333. Julia D. Thompson,* b. Feb. 17, 1778; baptized May 10, 1778; m.,<br />

Mr. Gale; m., second, George Houston. Had nine children,<br />

and they lived in Orange Co., N. Y.<br />

1334. Eleanor Thompson,* b. Jan. 18, 1781; baptized June 17, 1781; m.<br />

James Morrison, whose father emigrated from <strong>Scotland</strong> or the<br />

north of Ireland. They had six children. Their son, Rev.<br />

John Hunter Morrison, I). D.,* b. 1804 or 1805, was a missionary<br />

in North India, and died there, leaving three children<br />

who were missionaries. One son of Eleanor died young. Another<br />

son and three daughters went to Ohio and Northern Kentucky,<br />

where they died. Their old house was in Montgomery,<br />

now Wallkill, Orange Co., N. Y., in the neighborhood of<br />

Joseph Thompson,* m. Patty Allison, daughter of James and<br />

Amy (Knapp) Allison. They had several children. Res. Steuben<br />

Anthony Dobbin Thompson,* m. Nancy Helme. Child: Sarah<br />

Thompson,'^ m. John Conklin, of New York, N. Y. Mr.<br />

Thompson died, and his widow married Meeker Miller, and<br />

died in the city of New York.<br />

Henry Thompson,* m. Abigail Thompson and Nancy Bronson.<br />

Res. Owego, Tioga Co., N. Y. Six children. After his death<br />

his widow and some of the children went to Illinois.<br />

Ann Thompson,* m. James Howell. She lived and died in Huber<br />

Co., N. Y. Seven children.<br />

Sarah Thompson,* m. John D. Vail, and died near New Windsor<br />

in 1850 or 1851. They had eiuht children; six died young.<br />

Their eldest, James Schryler Vail,'' married Catherine Tompkins,<br />

had children, and they lived and died in .New Windsor,<br />

Orange Co., N. Y. Sarah Jane Tompkins,'^ m. James Potter;<br />

m., second, her cousin, William Thompson Howell, and d. in<br />

Michigan. Sidney Tompson," res. Northern Illinois.<br />

1341. John Jay Thompson* (1417), b. March 26, 1797; d. Jan. 12, 1849.<br />

His daughter, Mrs. Mary Thompson Knight, lives in Monroe,<br />

Orange Co., N. Y.<br />

He was born and married ; Amy Keziab, daughter of<br />

and Amy (Reynolds) Knapp. They first went to<br />

Long Island, and later settled at Slate Hill, Orange county,<br />

N. Y. He was in the military service during the Revolution.<br />

He lived at Slate Hill, Orange county, N. Y., where be owned<br />

a large tract of land. He also owned land near Turner's,<br />

Orange county, N. Y. His death occurred about 1822.<br />

Mrs. Allison was from New England, and after Mr. Allison's<br />

death married James Smith of Oxford, Orange county,<br />

N. Y., and had a daughter. Amy Smith, who married Mr.<br />

Reynolds,
