He was born in Drumnaha, near Limavady, Ireland,<br />

in 1755 ; d. Dec. 3, 1818, in his sixty-fourth year. His<br />

" only brother," William Allison, lived at Bath, Eng. He<br />

married Miss Jane Flemming, and lived at Drumnaha, where<br />

he died. She died Sept. 2, 1843, aged 82 years.<br />

Aug. 31, 1795. He emigrated to America with<br />

his uncle, Joseph Flemming, and settled in Petersburg, Va.,<br />

where he lived a number of years. Trade being very much<br />

depressed, he went to New Orleans, La., and after his removal<br />

had not been heard from on Oct. 2, 1819.<br />

(1203), b. Nov. 21, 1797. He lived in Drumnaha,<br />

near Limavady, Ire., at a place called Magillegan, with the i-est<br />

of his father's family, on Oct. 2, 1819. It was a place "our<br />

grandfather possessed " on the above date. He wi'ote a letter to<br />

his second cousin, Joseph Allison (son of John,* Joseph,3 AVilliam,2<br />

John,' of Nova Scotia), which is now in the possession<br />

of Mrs. Elizabeth Whidden Doane, of Barrington, N. S.<br />
