526. Robert Allison ^ came first to Ramelton from <strong>Scotland</strong>,<br />

and took a farm called Louchras (?), but lost the same<br />

through some chicanery. Ramelton is fifteen miles west of<br />

the city of Londonderry, a town of considerable note, and<br />

was peopled by the Scotch and English. The Lough Swilly<br />

river flows into the town.<br />

He m. Lydia Curran.<br />

528. Samuel Allison^ [527] (Robert^). He was born in<br />

Ramelton, count}^ Donegal, Ireland ; lived in that place, where<br />

he and his wife were members of the Presbyterian church.<br />

They were excellent people, and gave their children the best<br />

possible education. He married Lydia Curran, a cousin of<br />

the brave John P. Curran. Mr. and Mrs. Allison died in<br />

Ramelton, and are buried in the churchyard there.<br />

res. Glasgow, <strong>Scotland</strong>, and had son, Frank Anderson,^ res. Australia,<br />
