Col., April 9, 1882. She was a member of the North Congregational<br />

church in Concord, N. H., as well as her mother, sister,<br />

and son. Child :<br />

L Henry Allison French," b. Bankok, Siam, May 10, 1841. Came to the<br />

United States with his mother when three years of age. Lived<br />

in Concord, N. H. He was a printer, and worked in the Statesman<br />

and Patriot offices until 1873, when his health failed; went<br />

to Greeley, Col., in the fall of 1873, purchased the Colorado<br />

Sun, published it for ten years, and d. in Greeley, Col., April<br />

26, 1889. He m., in 1883, Ellen M. Taylor, of Rutherford, N. J.<br />

She still lives in Greeley, Col. Children b. Gi-eeley, Col.:<br />

Sarah Taylor French,^ b. Aug. 24, 1884; Allison Taylor French,'<br />

b. Oct. 9, 1885.<br />

125. Mary Anne Allison,^ b. Sept. 1.5, 1812; single. She was a very successful<br />

school teacher in Concord, N. H., and Montreal, Canada.<br />

She was a literary person, wrote and published several works,<br />

was active in all benevolent societies, and her life abounded in<br />

good works. She was a most excellent, estimable, and beautiful<br />

woman, a devoted Christian, and considered by her friends<br />

as one of the saints of the earth. She d. July 16, 1873.<br />

Frederick Allison,^ b. Castine, Me., May 11, 1817; farmer, bookbinder,<br />

and gardener; res. 93 N. State St., Concord. N. H. ; m.,<br />

Aug. 29, 1874, Mrs. Hannah Gove (Clark) Savory, b. July 18,<br />

1826, in Weare, N. H.; d. Jan. .30, 1882. He m., second, July<br />

28, 1883, Miss Jeannette Clark, daughter of Edward Gove and<br />

Mehitable (Philbrick) Clark, of Henniker, N. H., where she<br />

was b. Feb. 3, 1837, and was a sister of the first Mrs. Allison.<br />

No children.<br />

[41] (Samuel,^ Capt. Samuel,^ Sam-<br />

ueP). He was born in Dunbarton, N. H., May 24, 1784.<br />

He married, Aug. 11, 1810, Mary, daughter of George and<br />

Nancy (Fish) Holt, of Andover, Mass., Goffstown, and Dunbarton,<br />

N. H. She was born in Andover, July 7, 1791 ;<br />

resided in Andover, Mass., before marriage, and in Dunbarton,<br />

N. H., afterward, \vhere she died Nov. 28, 1835, aged 44<br />

years, 4 months, 21 days. Mr. Allison married, second,<br />

March 8, 1837, Mary, daughter of Jonathan and Molly (Mallet)<br />

Ireland, of Amesbury, Mass., and Dunbarton, N. H.<br />

She was born in Salem, Mass., Aug. 4, 1798. Before marriage<br />

she resided in Salem, Mass., and Dunbarton, N. H.<br />

She died October 29, 1870, in Concord, N. H., aged 72 years,<br />

2 months, 25 days. Mr. Allison resided in Dunbarton until<br />

1840; then in Warner, N. H., until 1846; then in Manchester,<br />

N. H., until 1853, and then in Goffstown, N. H., until<br />

his death there, Feb. 2, 1867, aged 82 years, 9 months, 9<br />

days.<br />
