Samuel ^). He was born in Dunbarton, N. H., Sept. 18, 1782.<br />

Married Sarah Carter Bronson. He died in Nortbport, Me.,<br />

Feb. 12, 1822. She was born in <strong>Boston</strong>, Mass., June 15, 1789;<br />

died in Concord, N. H., May 1, 1865. He left his native town<br />

when a young man. He was a merchant in Castine, Me., as<br />

early as 1810, and there the most of his active life was spent,<br />

but he removed to Nortbport, Me., in the latter part of his<br />

life. He and his wife were Congregatioualists in their<br />

church preferences and affiliations. After Mr. Allison's<br />

death, his widow and family went to Dunbarton, N. H., and<br />

lived eight years, and then settled in Concord, N. H.<br />

124. Sarah Catherine Allison,^ b. Castine, Me., Nov. 22, 1810; m., April<br />

9, 1839, Rev. Henry S. Gerrish French, of Boscawen, N. H., and<br />

went to Bankok, Siam, as missionaries. They entered the missionary<br />

work in 1839, and Mr. French d. in Siam in 1842, leav-<br />
