ROTC: Military Science<br />

The principal objective <strong>of</strong> the college-level Reserve Officer’s<br />

Training Corps (ROTC) program is to develop commissioned<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficers for the Active Army, the Army National Guard,<br />

and U.S. Army Reserve. Each course is designed to develop<br />

essential qualities and traits <strong>of</strong> leadership required for<br />

success in either a civilian or a military career.<br />

ROTC: Military Science<br />

Instruction is <strong>of</strong>fered through either a four-year or two-year<br />

program. The four-year program consists <strong>of</strong> the Basic Course<br />

(freshman and sophomore years) and the Advanced Course<br />

(junior and senior years). The two-year Advanced Course is<br />

open to students eligible for advanced placement through<br />

a variety <strong>of</strong> options. Both programs include attendance at Camp<br />

Adventure (a six-week advanced summer camp) just prior<br />

to commissioning.<br />
