Immunization Requirement<br />
In accordance with <strong>Illinois</strong> law, all students born on or after<br />
January 1, 1957, and enrolling at IIT for the first time after<br />
July 1, 1989, must supply health-provider documented evidence<br />
<strong>of</strong> vaccination for diphtheria, tetanus, measles, rubella<br />
and mumps. Transfer students are considered first-time<br />
enrolled students. Students enrolling for the first time during<br />
a summer session may be permitted to enroll in the subsequent<br />
fall term before providing pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> immunization.<br />
Students who wish to enroll only in one class per semester<br />

Part-Time Degree-Seeking Students<br />
Students who wish to enroll in less than 12 credit hours per<br />
semester are classified as part-time students. All undergraduate<br />
programs, except architecture, can be completed on a<br />
part-time basis, with both day and evening courses being<br />
<strong>of</strong>fered. However, only the following degree programs can be<br />
completed in their entirety through evening classes:<br />
� Chemical Engineering;<br />
� Computer Engineering;<br />
Application as a Degree-Seeking Part-Time Student<br />
Part-time students must meet the same admission requirements<br />
as full-time students. Students with previous college<br />
work will be evaluated by the same criteria used for full-time<br />
undergraduate transfer admission. (See page 16.) Students<br />
who have less than 30 hours <strong>of</strong> transferable college coursework<br />
may be required to submit high school transcripts<br />
and standardized test scores. Students who have not attended<br />

Undergraduate Admission<br />
or via IITV at corporate sites may file a written request for<br />
an exemption. Exemption from one or more <strong>of</strong> the specific<br />
requirements may also be granted based on documented<br />
medical or religious reasons. A student who fails to provide<br />
acceptable evidence <strong>of</strong> immunization shall be prevented<br />
from registering for classes in the next semester. Questions<br />
regarding the immunization policy should be directed to<br />
IIT’s Counseling and Health Service at 312.808.7199.<br />

The graduation requirements for full-time and part-time<br />
students are identical.<br />

Prospective students submit the completed application,<br />
application fee or fee waiver, and <strong>of</strong>ficial transcripts <strong>of</strong> all<br />
