8th was a perfect day
in the Florida Keys.
There aren’t many
“bad” days there, but
driving your Ferrari on
one of the greatest
roads anywhere, only
to end up at the bay
side estate of John &
Margaret Edwards
was one we’d repeat
anytime. A capacity
crowd of Florida Region
members enjoyed a
huge stone crab feast
with all the trimmings
amid sea breezes,
swaying palms and
gleaming Ferraris. This
is the perfect example
of what happens when
a club member raises
his hand and has an
idea that sounds fun.
This club was built on
low-key socials exactly
like this one (except
maybe without the
stone crabs!) and the
eager participation of
members just looking
to get together on a
sunny afternoon. So
the next time you
wonder why there’s
“never anything to do in
your area,” don’t whine
- raise your hand. It
could actually be fun!
