Fountain Hills is known as an artist’s community. A collection of 105 pieces
of public art can be enjoyed from just about any angle. Sculptures, water
features and other works of art adorn the downtown streets, plazas, parks and
other public places.
Docent-led art walk tours are available the first Saturday of every
month from November through April and can also be arranged by special
appointment for groups by calling 480.816.5151. An art walk map is also
available at kiosks and online for those who wish to conduct their own selfguided
tour. No matter where you begin, if you take in all of the artwork, over
a day or several days, you will find that you have also taken in different parts
of the world.
Visitors and residents also delight in the generous amount of artwork with
an appeal to children, making it an excellent introduction to art. Even those
just beginning to read will see (once they peek over the sculpture mom’s
shoulder) what book is featured in A Good Book, just outside the library. You
