Art on the Avenue & Farmer’s Market<br />

Visit downtown <strong>Fountain</strong> <strong>Hills</strong> and see photography, artwork, jewelry and<br />
sculpture created by local artisans. Shop for items including produce, baked<br />
goods and specialty foods at the farmers’ market.<br />

The River of Time Museum in <strong>Fountain</strong> <strong>Hills</strong> recounts the captivating past<br />
of this desert valley. Here you’ll trace the steps of ancient people who passed<br />
through the Valley following the river for game and water. Learn about the<br />
large communities that grew here centuries ago and why they disappeared.<br />
As you pass beneath a shade ramada, you’ll learn how the Yavapai migrated<br />
throughout Central Arizona, moving with the seasons and the availability of<br />
food. Continue on with explorers and trappers as they travel the river routes.<br />
Enter a mine as prospectors look for gold and find amethyst. Learn about Fort<br />
McDowell and the struggle to bring peace to the Valley.<br />
Then join the “river tamers,” as they build dams and canals. See how “the<br />
dam that never was” brought about the development of <strong>Fountain</strong> <strong>Hills</strong>. Check<br />
out the changing exhibit gallery and the River Bank Gift Store. The River of<br />
Time Museum has something new around every bend. The Museum is located<br />
in the Library Museum Building at 12901 N. La Montana Blvd., <strong>Fountain</strong> <strong>Hills</strong>. Call<br />

Proudly entering its 26th season, <strong>Fountain</strong> <strong>Hills</strong> Theater is presenting eleven<br />
productions during the 2011-2012 season. FHT also offers year-round and<br />
summer performing arts programs for youth, a full-time six-week Teen camp<br />
and trip to NYC and an adult theater trip to either New York or London. This<br />
theater is one the busiest and most highly awarded community theaters in the<br />
