Sanexen, in collaboration with the National Research Council Canada (NRC)<br />
developed a new structural liner <strong>for</strong> the structural rehabilitation <strong>of</strong> drinking water<br />
mains. Aqua-Pipe is an economical and viable alternative to the water main<br />
problems where, in the past, dig and replace was the only choice. Aqua-Pipe is a<br />
class IV structural liner that is designed and manufactured with mechanical<br />
properties exceeding all specifications and meeting drinking water requirements.<br />

<strong>Rehabilitation</strong> and Replacement<br />
Service Connections The service connections are reinstated from within using a remote controlled<br />
mechanical robot. A CCTV system is used <strong>for</strong> monitoring the operation. Water<br />
tightness is preserved by the resin that surrounds the threaded cavities <strong>of</strong> the<br />
service connections and ensures a tight bond with Aqua-Pipe.<br />
