EtherCAT Drives
The AX5000 Servo Drive series sets new standards in
Drive Technology. The AX5000 series is available in single-
or multi-channel form and is optimised in terms of function
and cost-effectiveness. The integrated, fast control technology
supports fast and highly dynamic positioning tasks. Fast
switching from injection to holding pressure, which is particularly
important in the injection molding process, is supported
perfectly by EtherCAT.
Panel PC
With the Panel PC series for installation in control cabinets or mounting
arm installation, Beckhoff offers PC technology in the highest
performance class. The combination of display and controller in a
compact design features new perspectives for machine construction.
Application-specifi c panels including the software for operation and
monitoring are available for injection molding and blow molding
applications.
Condition Monitoring
Critical machine components such as hydraulic pumps are monitored
using special Beckhoff Bus Terminals and software blocks for signal
analysis, thus providing the basis for preventive maintenance and,
hence, higher machine availability. Hydraulic pumps can be monitored
continuously for optimal effi ciency with the aid of the energy measuring
terminals.
EtherCAT
EtherCAT is the real-time Ethernet
fieldbus for plastic machines,
offering flexible topology and simple handling, among other benefits.
With its high communication speed and high user data rates, EtherCAT
features the prerequisite for fast control technology. Thanks to protocol
tunnelling, fi eldbus architectures such as CANopen or PROFIBUS can
still be supported without problems.
