Ethernet<br />
EtherCAT Drives<br />
The AX5000 Servo Drive series sets new standards in<br />
Drive Technology. The AX5000 series is available in single-<br />
or multi-channel <strong>for</strong>m and is optimised in terms of function<br />
and cost-effectiveness. The integrated, fast control technology<br />
supports fast and highly dynamic positioning tasks. Fast<br />
switching from injection to holding pressure, which is particularly<br />
important in the injection molding process, is supported<br />
perfectly by EtherCAT.<br />
Panel <strong>PC</strong><br />
With the Panel <strong>PC</strong> series <strong>for</strong> installation in control cabinets or mounting<br />
arm installation, <strong>Beckhoff</strong> offers <strong>PC</strong> technology in the highest<br />
per<strong>for</strong>mance class. The combination of display and controller in a<br />
compact design features new perspectives <strong>for</strong> machine construction.<br />
Application-specifi c panels including the software <strong>for</strong> operation and<br />
monitoring are available <strong>for</strong> injection molding and blow molding<br />
applications.<br />
Condition Monitoring<br />
Critical machine components such as hydraulic pumps are monitored<br />
using special <strong>Beckhoff</strong> Bus Terminals and software blocks <strong>for</strong> signal<br />
analysis, thus providing the basis <strong>for</strong> preventive maintenance and,<br />
hence, higher machine availability. Hydraulic pumps can be monitored<br />
continuously <strong>for</strong> optimal effi ciency with the aid of the energy measuring<br />
terminals.<br />
EtherCAT<br />
EtherCAT is the real-time Ethernet<br />
fieldbus <strong>for</strong> plastic machines,<br />
offering flexible topology and simple handling, among other benefits.<br />
With its high communication speed and high user data rates, EtherCAT<br />
features the prerequisite <strong>for</strong> fast control technology. Thanks to protocol<br />
tunnelling, fi eldbus architectures such as CANopen or PROFIBUS can<br />
still be supported without problems.<br />
