The classic island tour Tour of the islands Herreninsel and Fraueninsel Herreninsel and Fraueninsel are two very distinctive highlights in Chiemsee. While Herreninsel is primarily known for the King’s palace, many see Fraueninsel as the region’s best kept secret. Its small fi shing village, lively eateries and Benedictine monestry make Fraueninsel a unique jewel in Chiemgau’s crown, a jewel that is visible far and wide thanks to the island’s white Campanile tower. Schedule: Boat trip from Prien/Stock to Herreninsel (approx. 15 minutes) Time on Herreninsel with a tour of the castle (approx. 2 hours) Boat trip on to Fraueninsel (approx. 10 minutes) Time on Fraueninsel with a tour of the island (approx. 1 hour) Boat trip back from Fraueninsel to Prien/Stock (approx. 30 minutes) Group prices 2011 (from 20 people upwards): Boat trip to Herreninsel and back € 6.00 per person Return trip to Herreninsel and Fraueninsel € 7.00 per person Current price for a tour of the castle on Herreninsel € 6.00 per person Please note: Island tours run every half hour in summer (end of April to the end of October) and according to demand at peak times.
