The Kampenwand cable car is the easy way to get to almost 1500 m above sea
level without even breaking sweat. Step out of the cable car and into a mountain

vista of the nearby SonnenAlm and the Central Alps mountain chain. The
view stretches from the Berchtesgadener Mountains and the Steinernes
Meer to the Loferer Steinberge range and the Hohen Tauern.
The mountaintop cable car station is the ideal base for exploring the
extensive network of paths which always has the perfect route to fi t your
mood or desired level of challenge. One of the things that makes the
Kampenwand most unique is the almost fl at panoramic path which allows
breathtaking views over the Alpine foothills as well as Chiemsee and its
islands.
Whether you are a serious hiker or would rather just take a peaceful stroll
for a couple of hours or a day, a visit to the Kampenwand is a truly special

Sonnen Alm
Welcome to the SonnenAlm at 1467m above sea level, nestling in an idyllic
mountain paradise just 100 m from the mountaintop cable car station.
There is room for between 80 and 200 people indoors, with additional
space for 160 guests on the spectacular, wind-protected panoramic terrace.
Whether you opt to sit indoors or outdoors rest assured that you will
always be able to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Central Alps.
The SonnenAlm‘s team of chefs prepares the fi nest mountain feasts for
its visitors, with dishes and snacks changing every day. Guests have the
option of ordering from the daily menu or booking in advance to make the
most of group offers.
