The Ngāti <strong>Tuwharetoa</strong> (<strong>Bay</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Plenty</strong>) <strong>Claims</strong> <strong>Settlement</strong> <strong>Bill</strong> was<br />

referred to the committee on 2 November 2004. The closing date for<br />

submissions was 20 December 2004. The committee received and<br />

considered five submissions from interested groups and individuals.<br />

All submissions were also presented orally at a hearing in Kawerau<br />

on 10 February 2005. Consideration took 11 hours and 38 minutes.<br />
